As a founding partner of Slinde Nelson Stanford, Nick advises businesses on corporate strategy, operational matters, financial markets, debt restructuring, real estate acquisition, development and construction and commercial litigation/settlement. As both a litigator and transactional attorney, Nick brings a unique perspective and compelling value proposition to his growing client base in Oregon and Washington.

Prior to founding Slinde Nelson Stanford, Nick spent four years as General Counsel and Vice President of Land Acquisitions & Development for a large real estate development company in Portland. In that capacity, he helped identify acquisition targets, secure financing, and advance projects through the land use and sale process.

Nick is also a founding member/partner in numerous businesses including Yeti (real estate investment/development) and Valda Partners (financial and real estate advisory).

In early 2015, Nick founded a venture services platform called The Board which provides advisory and consulting services to early and mid stage businesses.

Nick earned his BA in Journalism/Rhetoric from the University of Iowa in 1997 and graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2000. Nick has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross since 2012.
